Web Player

The web player is essentially complete. We have added and fixed a few issues, but the main work is done. Most of the issues listed below have already been developed earlier, over the past two weeks we mostly tested and improved them, and built on what was already there. What we have done:

  • Logging on via Facebook and Google.
  • Playlists.
  • The whole menu for artists, including logging in and registering.
  • Setting up your wallet.
  • The search function and the main menu.
  • The history of played tracks.
  • Fixed bugs.
  • Editing profiles once they have been set up.
  • Included an error 404 page.
  • The admin panel for the head artist of a band.
  • A step-by-step guide on how to set up a wallet.

The player is looking great and it is almost ready to be rolled out later this month.

Android

For our mobile apps, we primarily worked on the aesthetics of the platform, such as the font, layout, and general look of it. This included work on the search, options, playlist, artist details, album details, and library options.

iOS

The app has been registered on the App Store (though it won’t be publicly available yet), and it works fully on the blockchain. The work we have done includes adding tracks to the library, buffering the player, and UI improvements.

What still needs to be done

In the very final stages of the development of the first version of the OPUS Player, all that’s left to do is compare our designs of the apps with the completed apps to ensure that they are visually perfect, secure and update the endpoints, and saving the hash packages of the data.

Stay tuned for more news!

Our next Q&A is coming in one week, on Monday. In the meantime, please keep sending us more questions on our form, Discord, Telegram, or via e-mail at info@opus-foundation.org. You can also track our progress on Facebook and Twitter.

We also encourage more artists to join us in revolutionizing the music industry by filling in this form or dropping us an email at info@opus-foundation.org.
