Opus Android App Update
The launch of the main net version of Opus is right around the corner. Because of this, currently, our team is testing various scenarios and making sure everything is going smoothly, including onboarding new artists. One of our priorities has been the update of our mobile application. Even before the Main-net, we want to present what the new version of our Android application consists of.
Adding the download progress bar to the albums and playlists involved a slight rebuilding of the database in our Android application. Previously it was foreseen to download single songs only, but currently, the limits have been exceeded. In the future, we will aim to make further advancements in this field via adding the possibility to download numerous songs of the most popular artists or all of the artists’ songs, hence making the process simpler and less time-consuming. Additionally, the application memory management has been improved, so that the swiftness and general stability of the application are increased. These changes were necessary in order to provide our user base with a smooth transition to the Opus Mainnet version.
Meanwhile, we would like to inform you that our Product Management and Marketing Team is constantly working on onboarding new artists. Each week, their work results in the appearance of numerous new accounts. At the beginning of March, we succeeded in contacting an Italian producer — Alessandro Porcella, resulting in the appearance of dozens of artists’ accounts in the timeframe of just a few days — we’re looking forward to further cooperation. We are also reminding you that you should not hesitate to ask us any questions. The necessary form is available on our Telegram.
