OPUS OpenAPI Partner Platform coming soon

As one of the pioneers in the blockchain industry, we have decided to share our technology with partners who wish to create similar players.

The OPUS OpenAPI will allow other companies to construct music players based on the technology we have already created. The process for these partners is simple: create a partner account on our platform to receive a key from us giving access to the OPUS API. The partner can then write up their own player with the subscription function.

This is in line with what we wrote in our whitepaper, and which is a part of our mission to deliver the final product that we initially set out to create and that our community has come to expect.

OPUS will provide the right environment for testing the new platform, and the freedom for the partner to set their own prices, after which the partner will be able to pay a monthly fee to continue using the services. Aside from the services mentioned above, OPUS maintains the API servers, PostgreSQL, IPFS, the OPT token, and the Ethereum contracts. The partner, however, has to maintain and host the web and mobile applications.

This new service by OPUS has some very interesting features. Firstly, the partner does not need to update their platform whenever we update our API — giving the comfort of independence to the partner while still providing access to the technology. Secondly, the partner has access to their own admin panel on the OPUS website, which gives statistics about the number of artists, plays, tracks, and more information. Artists who are available on both OPUS and the partner’s players receive a their payment from both platforms based on the number of plays of their tracks.

Coming soon

This service is incredibly exciting for everyone interested in joining the blockchain music ecosystem, and will be publicly available soon. With this new move, we hope to create a friendly environment for new blockchain startups wishing to contribute to this industry and to help revolutionize the way we think about music streaming. The more companies to do this kind of thing, the easier it becomes to bring blockchain technology into the mainstream.

Furthermore, a large network of various startups helps grow the pool of artists and, therefore, the popularity of these streaming platforms.

The development continues…

The development of this new service is happening simultaneously to the development of the main platform, which is a continuous process. There will be more updates in the coming weeks letting you know what has been done and what still needs doing.

Lots of credit can be given to our amazing community for your continued support and help in locating errors in our platform. Our entire team at OPUS would be highly appreciative if you could continue assisting us with this by submitting anything you find on Freshdesk.
