OPUS partnering with 0chain

As part of our mutual strategies to develop, and to share our technologies with each other in the hopes of tremendous growth, OPUS and 0chain are announcing a strategic partnership.

As OPUS grows, the need for scalability increases proportionally, and current blockchain technologies do not allow that. This is a significant issue that needs solving, and 0chain is the solution.

OPUS

OPUS is the world’s first decentralized music streaming platform based on the blockchain. By decentralizing the platform and not storing all the data on a central server, OPUS will help up-and-coming artists support themselves by offering them over 90% of the revenue they generate, compared to less than 50% on existing platforms.

Decentralization of the platform also allows for all transactions to be made in a secure and transparent manner, with no middlemen involved. This way, artists can clearly track where their income is coming from, and what percentage of the revenue they generate will end up in their wallets.

Having relocated the main offices to Gdansk, Poland, to dedicate the past several months to developing the OPUS platform, the player has launched on the Ethereum test network in early June and is set to be released on the main network in the coming weeks.

0chain

0chain is a Silicon Valley startup which, having raised approximately $39 million earlier this year, is on a mission to support blockchain-based projects, such as OPUS, with the newest technologies and endless possibilities.

While existing blockchain technology is very difficult to scale and to use for micro-transactions, 0chain offers new protocols, including self-forking, 2D-BPoS consensus, and economic protocols that would allow us to scale OPUS quickly and efficiently, and to use a free dCloud.

0chain is, essentially, a decentralized cloud that will allow us to solve our scalability and storage problems by moving our off-chain storage to the 0chain dCloud platform for free.
