OPUS Web and Android app updates
We have released the latest versions of the OPUS apps for web and mobile, including various fixes and new features!
We have extended our sprint to include more fixes and we have, in the meantime, released updated versions of OPUS for web and mobile.
Web
There have been many changes in the web platform. These are:
- Logging in — users can now sign up and log in via social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Google. This will make it easier for many users to join OPUS without the need for any complicated registration process.
- Playlists — up until now, there were issues with making playlists either public or private, and users could not switch between the two. This has now been fixed and you can make your playlist available to other users or for personal use only.
- Playlist removal — another playlist feature that has been added is the possibility of removing your own playlists if you no longer want them in your library.
- Explore function — previously this function was quite empty, but we have since added Discover where you can browse through new music and discover new tracks.
- Overview function — this new function has been added to the details about artists.
- Caching — we added caching of data as well, which makes the general experience much quicker and smoother.
- Various cosmetic and backend fixes — aside from these major changes, there have also been countless smaller fixes, ranging from cosmetic changes to backend improvements which ensure a more pleasant experience all around.
Android
The new version of OPUS for Android has been sent off to the Play Store, with the following new features available:
- Logging in — like with the web version, we have now added the possibility of signing up and logging in via social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Google.
- Playlists — again, similarly to the web player, playlists can now be set to either public or private.
- Lost connection — when users have no internet access, or the internet access is for some reason disconnected, users are now informed of this.
- Various cosmetic and backend fixes.
iOS
OPUS for iOS will be updated very soon as well, with lots of new fixes and improvements in store.
More to come
While these fixes are a big step towards the release on the Ethereum main network, we will continue fixing all the reported bugs on the platform, as well as add new features that will improve the user experience of the OPUS platform.
There will be a new development update at the end of the next sprint.
