The entire web platform’s code had to be changed so as to adapt it to the new design, which entails not only graphical changes, but also backend operations. This helps improve the efficiency and speed of the platform, and creates a friendlier design for users.

Q&A Coming Soon!

Before we get started with the content of this blog update, we would like to announce a technical Q&A coming up. Please submit all your technical questions on our Telegram and we’ll answer them in the next blog post.

Let’s take a tour of the new web platform, with a few “before-after” pictures to examine the changes we have made over the last few weeks and months.

Before

After

As is visible in the images above, it has now become more accessible to discover new music and to jump right back into what users were listening to previously. We have also been working on the algorithms that suggest new songs and playlists so that music fans can explore a larger variety of tracks.

Before

After

This is one of the most visible changes, as we have decided that it is unnecessary to load a whole new page for the queue, rather opting for a pop-up window that shows the queue, which can be accessed and modified comfortable from any screen.

Before

After

The new artist page is more organized, putting a greater emphasis on recently released albums for greater promotion, and makes the top songs more coherent to browse.

Before

After

This new design allows more tracks to fit into one screen due to the decreased width of the screen, giving more transparency to the user.

Before

After

This is a minor update, primarily focusing on more crisp and modern designs.

After

The view of the users wallet provides clearly the value in Ethereum and its equivalent in OPT, giving an oversight of the funds in the user’s account, as well as the private key. Deleting the wallet from the browser can also now be done with a simple click.

Before

After

Once more, this update is simply a refreshed design to make it look more pleasant and modern.

Before

After

The user profile has changed its layout to ensure easy navigation and changing of personal data as well as the password.

Before

After

These are mostly cosmetic changes.

One frequent request we received from our artist community was to improve the release information of a track or album before publishing it. We did just that by shuffling the screen around and redesigning everything to make it more intuitive.

Before

After

Similarly as above, this allows artists to easily edit the names of their songs and to upload tracks.

Android coming next

In one of our next updates, following the Q&A, we will talk about the Android update in depth.
